Georgia, Tbilisi, March 30 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /

The Tbilisi City Court will pass a sentence in the case of the Israeli businessmen Roni Fuchs and Zeev Frankel on April 1.

The sentence was postponed as the judge fell ill, his assistant Vaja Pukhashvili told Trend.

The businessman face a prison term of five to eight years.

Fuchs and Frankel were arrested in Batumi last October during ameeting with Deputy Finance Minister Avtandil Haraidze.

Israeli authorities pressured the Georgian government to recognize the businessmen as innocent. Tel Aviv refused to receive Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze and Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Vera Kobalia due to this process.
