Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov invited the speaker of the Kazakh Senate (upper house of parliament), Kairat Mamie, to pay an official visit to Baku, the Kazakh senate reported.
Asadov and Mamie met during the Second Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) in Astana, IA Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
"Asadov expressed his confidence in Kazakhstan's successful chairmanship during the TurkPA and invited Mamie to visit Azerbaijan at his convenience," the report reads.
Regarding further development of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani cooperation, Mamie stressed the dynamic development of the bilateral relations and cooperation within international and regional organizations, the dynamics and impact of meetings between the countries' presidents and the successful implementation of agreements that are reached at the highest level.
