Georgia raises the issue of returning the OSCE mission to the country. Talks with the Lithuanian President will be held in this sphere, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze told journalists before a meeting of the Georgian and Lithuanian presidents.
"It is important for Georgia to address this issue, and Lithuania, as the OSCE president, can play important role in addressing this problem," he said.
Because of Russia's position, the OSCE mission was withdrawn from Georgia two years ago after the armed clashes in Tskhinvali.
Vashadze said Lithuania is Georgia's partner country, and therefore the meeting will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as support for Georgia on the European integration.
Before the meeting Georgian President Saakashvili briefed Dalia Grybauskaite about projects of construction of a number of facilities in Georgia, particularly in Adjara. He showed mockups and placards of future buildings.
The presidents have already begun meeting behind closed doors.
