Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Trinidad Jiménez will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in late 2011, on the invitation of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who conveyed the invitation to the Spanish Minister during his visit to Spain, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
At the meeting the ministers discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation. Jiménez expressed that Spanish companies are willing to cooperate with Azerbaijan in energy and other fields.
The sides also agreed on strengthening the legal framework between the two countries and to hold a business forum.
Mammadyarov has been in Spain on visit since June 15.
