The activity of Azerbaijani compatriots living abroad played a significant role in the country's victory in the Eurovision-2011 song contest, State Committee for Diaspora Chairman Nazim Ibrahimov said at the Third Congress of World Azerbaijanis.
He added that about 416 organizations of the Azerbaijani Diaspora operate in the world today, 103 of them were created after the Second Congress.
The First Congress of World Azerbaijanis was held in 2001. The congress is held every five years.
