Azerbaijani representative participates in African Union summit

An Azerbaijani representative participated in the summit of the African Union, the Foreign Ministry told Trend.
Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev represented Azerbaijan at the summit in Equatorial Guinea on June 26 - July 1. The ambassador has the status of a permanent representative of Azerbaijan in the African Union.
During the summit, Abdullayev met with African Union Commission chairman Jean Ping and the Chief of Staff of the African Union John Kayode Shinkaiye, as well as with directors of departments of the organization. The sides discussed the issues of political, economic, scientific and educational cooperation between the African Union and Azerbaijan.
Abdullayev held numerous meetings with the delegations of the African Union member-countries.
