Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 26 /Trend, T.Hajiyev/

Azerbaijan's ruling party calls on opposition parties to debates.

"Opposition parties claim that as though they are not allowed to tele-debates, although they themselves are afraid of participating in them. None of them want to conduct debates. TV channels have repeatedly invited them to participate in the debates, but at the last moment, they refused to come, promising that will send their deputies or consultants," Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Siyavush Novruzov told Trend on Monday.

Opposition parties demand to be provided with airtime to make speech and conduct propaganda work, but it is not possible, Novruzov said.

"Let Isa Gambar and Ali Kerimli come to debates, so that we could hold discussions. I would prove to them before the public that they incite the people, provoking them to working for foreign countries," said Novruzov.

Novruzov expressed his attitude towards the statement that Isa Gambar and Ali Kerimli made at the court (over the case of accused of involvement in illegal action on April 2) that that they accept all responsibilities for the action.

"Isa Gambar and Ali Kerimli should themselves be made answerable. These people may become potential targets of trials. In one or another way, these people were involved in committing criminal acts. As a person watching the process of actions, I can say that they incite people, youth to illegal activities and themselves hide," said Novruzov.
