Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.30 / Trend, M. Aliyev /

School uniforms should not be sewn only by one factory, Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov said at the opening meeting of the parliament's autumn session.

During the meeting, MP Siyavush Novruzov raised the issue of queue and other problems when purchasing school uniforms.

Novruzov also proposed to present a sample of school uniform to the public and let everyone order a uniform where they want.

Asadov said the main goal of a common school uniform is observance of equality in students' clothes.

"If uniform is ordered by parents, then some samples will differ in quality from the other," Asadov said.

Also, a question was raised on the problems with children's reception to secondary schools.

"The Law "On Education" adopted by the parliament states that children should come to school from kindergarten. The Education Ministry's report also stresses that only 20 percent of children visit kindergartens. Some schools use this and create obstacles with the reception of children to the first class," Novruzov said.
