The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has led to very serious consequences. The International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) is a supporter of a peaceful solution of the problem in accordance with the rules and principles of international law and within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Secretary General of the Conference Chung Eu-Yong said in an interview to the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.
"We express regret over this conflict. At the same time, we wish a speedy solution of the conflict, since the delay may create an even greater threat in the future," said Yong.
The Secretary General of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties, Co-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Conference Chung Eu-Yong is on an official visit to Baku.
The Standing Committee decided to hold VII General Assembly of the ICAPP in 2012 in Baku.
According to Yong, the purpose of the visit is to discuss with the leadership of New Azerbaijan Party the preparatory work for the General Assembly. "For this purpose, we met with the leadership of the party, and I think that they have been quite fruitful," said Yong.
