A mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) will observe the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan on Oct/ 30, TurkPA said on Thursday.
TurkPA observers will study the conditions created for presidential candidates, and the pre-election campaign. They will observe a "day of silence" on the eve of the elections when pre-election campaigns are prohibited. They will also visit polling stations and district election commissions on election day and control the counting process.
The mission will observe voting in Bishkek.
The mission includes MPs from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey, as well as members of the TurkPA Secretariat.
