Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 9 / Trend E. Mehdiyev /

There is a need to create a new opposition in Azerbaijan, Chairman of the opposition party "Azadliq" Ahmed Orudj told Trend today. "The analysis shows that the Azerbaijani opposition failed to use the potential, interests and desires of society sufficiently," he said. "Azerbaijan needs a new opposition."

He said that the opposition today may be called nomenclature, and that there are some oligarchs.
"So, I am sure that Azerbaijan has a great need for new political force and approach," he added.
The opposition must be renewed to win the trust of society. "Unfortunately, there are no good results in this respect," Orudj added. "The current opposition is not interested in creating a new opposition."
