The organization of cyber attacks undermine the mutual trust between countries, deputy chairman, executive secretary of the ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan Ali Akhmedov told Trend.

"The powers responsible for the organization of cyber attacks on Azerbaijani sites are named officially. Unfortunately they try to put a pressure on Azerbaijan. But these attempts are in vain, and they won't be able to achieve their goals" Akhmedov said.

Akhmedov noted that the Azerbaijani government can not be influenced by such threats.
"But in any case, these attacks create a base for counter-attacks. If it wouldn't be prevented, the whole world will be covered by electronic war," Akhmedov said.

Akhmedov noted that cyberattacks are one of the most important challenges of our time. In this regard, many states began to implement the projects.

Provision of information security must be strengthened in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani Internet sites should be prepared to provide more reliable protection.

Hacker attacks on government and public Internet resources of Azerbaijan were carried out from Iran (24 attacks) and Netherlands (1 attack), Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov told reporters last week.

Azerbaijan information resources of various agencies, public organizations and mass media, located on the servers of a computer center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan and the Special State Protection Service of Azerbaijan were hacked on Jan. 16.
