President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili familiarized members of a delegation of the French Senate with ongoing reforms in Georgia in the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.
The delegation of French senators is on a working visit to Georgia, administration of the Georgian President told Trend on Tuesday.
French senators familiarize themselves with the reforms that were implemented in Georgia after the Rose Revolution. They study changes in the sectors of defense, economy and others.
French senators also got interested in the situation in the occupied territories, which they intend to visit. They will visit the settlement of refugees from South Ossetia in the village of Tserovani.
French senators that represent the Committee on Defense and Security will also hold meetings in the Ministry of Defence, the Foreign Ministry and Interior Ministry of Georgia.
