President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Foreign Minister of the Federative Republic of Germany Guido Westerwelle.
Stressing wide relations between the two countries, President Aliyev expressed confidence that German foreign minister's current visit will boost partnership between the states even more.
German Minister Westerwelle informed President Aliyev about the meetings he held in the country, stressing the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
He also underlined the importance of Azerbaijan's election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and future cooperation in this frame.
During the meeting views were exchanged on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict, energy cooperation and other issues.
