Azerbaijan, Baku, March 28 / Trend E. Mehdiyev /

Chairman of the Azerbaijani Democratic Party considers it inexpedient to hold mass rallies to achieve political goals.

"We must explain how to use the civil rights," chairman of the Azerbaijani Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloglu told Trend today. "The right becomes a political force when it is used. We appreciate it, but the political parties must use their rights in terms of political effectiveness, i.e. determine the purpose of these meetings."

Jalaloglu considers it inappropriate to conduct political rallies in Azerbaijan in the current situation.

"I think that Azerbaijan is included in the process of globalization," he added. "It is impossible to achieve serious results by holding these rallies in the globalizing world. It is necessary to conduct other work."

From this point of view Jalaloglu advises members of his party to make a decision about participation in these rallies independently.

"We, as a party, consider it inappropriate to conduct political mass rallies in the country," he stressed.

The parties included in the so-called Public Chamber discuss the issue of holding the rally on April 8.
