An unmanned aircraft of Georgian production will be tested on April 10, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said at the award ceremony in Tbilisi.

"We have great design capabilities and use it to create weapons because we have the right and duty to protect our country from enemies who want to dismember Georgia," he said.

Saakashvili awarded the creators of armoured personnel carrier 'Didgori' and anti-aircraft installation, Giorgi Kalandadze and Levan Charbadze, with Splendour order.

Saakashvli said about the importance of April 9 for Georgia, which showed that people are ready to fight for their freedom and will never accept enslavement. "There was a long and exhausting war against us to deprive us of freedom, but we have proved that we deserve it, and though we will be fully free only after the de-occupation, now we have the right to be free, we deserved it," he said.

Saakashvili said Georgia has created a free society where there are no differences according to nationality, religion, wealth and poverty. "We are building a country where all are equal, and which the Caucasus has always dreamed of, in which the free people live who are fighting for their freedom, and not drag out slavish existence," said the president.
