Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department Chief Ali Hasanov has commented on the Public Chamber's decision not to hold a rally.
"The Azerbaijani opposition is an integral part of the society, social institution," he told media today. "The individuals represented there pretend to engage in state policy at the highest level, and to control Azerbaijan. The decisions made here must also be adequate to the Azerbaijani state policy."
"Everything must be done within the law" he added.
"Any step taken by them within the law is acceptable for us," he said. "We do not accept illegal actions. Our duty is to prevent illegal steps."
