Azerbaijan, Baku, May 8 / Trend M. Aliyev /

"Armenia is not an independent country," New Azerbaijan Party official Mubariz Gurbanli told Trend today. "It is a vassal country. It is impossible to speak of holding democratic elections in this country.

"They carry out the order of the second country and it is obvious," he said.

Gurbanli said that the elections in Armenia have been completely falsified.

"The biggest falsification is an indication of the number of voters as 2.5 million people," he said. "It is just a ridiculous figure. Even the Armenian population is not so."

There are other offenses, the OSCE said.

The international observer mission said on Monday that there were organizational problems and interference in the electoral process mostly by representatives of political parties during the parliamentary elections in Armenia on May 6.
