President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Chairperson of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Tsetska Tsacheva and her accompanying delegation.
The Head of State pointed out the relations between the two countries have rich history, and underlined that high level contacts have fruitful results. President Ilham Aliyev recalled visits of chairman of Bulgaria`s National Assembly and Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to Azerbaijan, describing these visits as a sample of dynamic development of bilateral relations.
The Head of State underscored importance of energy, tourism and other joint projects. On interparliamentary cooperation, President of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with cooperation between the two countries within Euronest. The Head of State expressed assurance that Tsacheva`s visit would contribute to strengthening bilateral ties in various directions, interparliamentary relations as well.
For her part, Chairperson of Bulgaria`s National Assembly stressed importance of this visit on the eve of the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, and expressed assurance that the cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries would be further expanded.
