The Justice Ministry has permitted Musavat party head Arif Hajili, who is serving time in prison, to participate in the funeral of his mother.
Hajili's request was considered and granted.
The decision was made to release him for seven days to participate in the funeral, the Justice Ministry told Trend today.
Hajili will be accompanied by prison employees.
Deputy Justice Minister Madat Guliyev told Trend that Hajili was allowed to go home. His mother died on Wednesday.
Hajili was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for taking part in an unsanctioned rally on April 2, 2011.
