Offsite board meetings devoted to the results of the first half of 2012 were held in the organisations subordinated to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry on July 23-31, the Ministry told Trend today.
The meetings were chaired by Minister Yaver Jamalov. The results of the ministry's activity, production, financial and economic activity of the organisations, as well as the further challenges have been widely discussed.
It was stressed that there operations were conducted to develop defence products on the basis of relevant programmes and to create new industrial areas in the Ministry's bodies during the reporting period.
Activities envisaged for 2012 upon the power bodies' order were executed during the reporting period. Defence products were produced and given to customers on the basis of the contracts. The operations were continued to expand production of civilian goods.
About 68.3 per cent of the total volume of products produced in the ministry's bodies in the first half of 2012 fell to defence and special purpose production, 31.7 per cent to products for civilian use.
The range of mastered defence products rose by 25 per cent compared to the same period of last year.
About 13 stages were implemented to create defence products. Four themes were fully completed. The work on other stages is underway.
