President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Turkey Ismail Alper Coskun.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the diplomat.
Ismail Alper Coskun conveyed greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the Head of State.
He expressed satisfaction with his appointment as an ambassador to Azerbaijan at a time when bilateral relations between the two countries had entered the path of great development.
The Turkish ambassador said during his tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to boosting relationship between the two countries even more.
President Ilham Aliyev said the second meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held successfully. The Azerbaijani leader praised the results of the meeting.
The Head of State expressed confidence bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Turkey would continue to expand in the years to come.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan and Turkey enjoy closest relationship on the world scale.
The President said bilateral cooperation between the two countries was developing dynamically in all fields.
The Head of State noted Azerbaijan-Turkey cooperation was very important both in and behind the region.
President Aliyev asked Coskun to pass on his greetings to Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
