Azerbaijani parliament speaker to attend CIS PA meeting

A delegation headed by the chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oqtay Asadov will take part at the 38th plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS PA) in St. Petersburg on Nov. 21-23.
Members of the delegation will participate at the CIS PA standing committees on political affairs and international cooperation, agrarian policy, natural resources and environment, science and education.
MPs will attend a meeting of the working group for the preparation of an inter-state agreement on the formation of a common information system of the CIS member states and express their opinions on the issue.
Azerbaijani MPs will also take part in the international conference on 'Chingiz Aitmatov's world: dialogue and integration of cultures'.
During the visit, the speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament will hold meetings with delegation heads. They will exchange views on inter-parliamentary ties, spheres of PA CIS activity and other issues.
The Azerbaijani delegation includes chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Issues Arif Rahimzade, MPs Elton Mammadov, Aslan Jafarov and Rufat Guliyev, as well as head of the parliamentary office Safa Mirzayev.
