Georgian President believes that the majority might change, but the desire of the Georgian people to Europe does not depend on the "political division." This statement Mikhail Saakashvili did, speaking at the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on Monday.

"It's the greatest honor and privilege for me to address you at this important time for democracy in Georgia. First of all, I want to express my deepest respect to Jean-Claude Mignon, which supports our commitment to democracy," - he said.

Not so long ago there was a change of power through elections. It was the first time in the history of Georgia, Saakashvili said.

"As in any democracy, the majority can change in accordance with the will of the population, but the desire of our people to Europe is independent of the political divide. It's my main message that I want to announce to the Assembly today," - Saakashvili said.
