Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has issued a decree to hold the 90th jubilee of academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
"In April 2013, the 90th jubilee of outstanding Azerbaijani scientist, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Honored Scientist, full member of the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences, Zarifa Aziz gizi Aliyeva will be marked. Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who made a significant contribution to the development of medical science in our republic, won great fame for her solid research on actual problems of ophthalmology," says the decree.
According to the decree, Zarifa Aliyeva's scientific and pedagogic, as well as social activities had a strong influence on the education of a new generation of physicians and the development of ophthalmic science in Azerbaijan.
In accordance with paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of Azerbaijani Republic, in order to ensure holding the 90th jubilee of academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who made invaluable contribution to the development of medical science in Azerbaijan, the President ordered the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan jointly with the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences and Education Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic, to prepare and implement a plan of events dedicated to the jubilee.
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic is instructed to resolve issues arising from this order.
