Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze met with her Dutch counterpart Frans Timmermans, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
The meeting was held during the Georgian Foreign Minister's visit to Holland.
Special attention was paid to urgent issues in bilateral and multilateral relations and the prospects for intensifying cooperation in various fields. The sides appreciated the progress reached in terms of integration into the EU and NATO and spoke of plans for further cooperation.
"There is a strong basis for signing the Association Agreement and we have to work on that," Timmermans said. "This agreement will create a strong foundation for economic development, political cooperation and relations between peoples."
Maya Panjikidze has also met with Dutch Defense Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.
