Azerbaijani opposition announces new political bloc

It was officially announced there is to be an establishment of a new political bloc in the opposition camp in Azerbaijan on May 3.The new bloc which includes the Green Party and Adalat party, is called Vatan.
Chairman of the Azerbaijani Green Party Mais Gulaliyev said that the bloc's future activity has been determined.
"We will try for this political bloc to be actively involved in the Azerbaijani social and political life," Gulaliyev said.
Chairman of Adalat Party Ilyas Ismailov said the creation of the bloc is a progressive action in the political life of the country.
"We will try to direct relations between the two parties in favour of the people," Ismailov said. "The bloc will be more enriched in the future because it is open to all those wishing to join."
Afterwards, the cooperation of Adalat Party and the Green Party with other political parties will be possible only within the bloc.
"This political bloc envisages a long term joint activity," Gulaliyev said. "However, we plan to actively act in all elections. If, the socio-political conditions are created before the presidential elections this year, then we will appear with a single candidate in the elections."
He stressed that the issue will be clarified for the next two months.
