Azerbaijan`s First Lady, chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Inaugural European Games Mehriban Aliyeva has today met French Minister for Sport, Youth, Popular Education and Associative Life Valerie Fourneyron.
They discussed the issues related to the Inaugural European Games to be held in Azerbaijan in 2015.
Valerie Fourneyron said France was ready to share its experience in organization of the Games, adding "French companies are interested in participation in the process of preparation to the Games".
Mehriban Aliyeva said the preparation to the European Games was going on actively. She noted Azerbaijan, which was known as a country of sport, would successfully fulfill its duties to ensure excellent organization of the European Games.
Mehriban Aliyeva hailed the French Minister`s proposal on cooperation with French companies in the process of preparation to the event.
They agreed to organize a joint workshop with involvement of the French Ministry for Sport, Youth, Popular Education and Associative Life, French Olympic Committee and French companies in Baku in September.
The meeting ended with a working lunch.
