The Egyptian army has urged members of the Muslim Brotherhood movement to start political dialogue in order to achieve national reconciliation, Anadolu reported on Friday.

Otherwise, the Egyptian army is going to change its strategy in its fight against terror and violence, a statement of the chief staff of the Egyptian armed forces said.

"We are ready to turn a blind eye to some errors committed by members of the Muslim Brotherhood if they agree to compromise and make a truce with the army," the statement said.

Clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi have been continuing in Egypt since the Egyptian army suspended the constitution and ousted Morsi on July 3.

Egyptian Islamists do not accept these developments and demand that the legally elected president be allowed to return to power.

On July 10, Egypt's Prosecutor General's Office ordered the arrest of leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood movement. Morsi's exact whereabouts have not been reported. It is only known that he is being held by the military in an Interior Ministry building.
