Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold an extraordinary meeting on July 30 in connection with the situation in Syria and increased tension on the Turkish-Syrian border, Anadolu agency reported today.
According to the report, Turkish Deputy Prime Ministers and several ministers will attend the meeting.
Earlier, an extraordinary government meeting on the situation in Syria was conducted in Turkey on July 24.
On July 18, there were fierce clashes on the Turkish-Syrian border between the Syrian wing of the PKK terrorist organization and militants of "Jabhat Al-Nusra" extremist organization.
Clashes between government forces and armed the opposition have been ongoing in Syria for over two years. According to UN statistics, the total number of victims of the conflict exceeds 100,000 people. Syrian authorities say that they are combating very well-armed militants.
