President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev phoned the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on October 7. The Head of State congratulated Vladimir Putin on his birthday and wished him strong health and successes in his activities.
The President of the Russian Federation thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his congratulation and attention.
During the phone call, the presidents praised development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in a variety of fields.
Touching upon the importance of high-level reciprocal visits, they stressed the recent visit of the President of Russian Federation to Azerbaijan in terms of strengthening the bilateral relations.
The two presidents expressed confidence Azerbaijan-Russia relations would continue to develop.
