By Elchin Mehdiyev - Trend: The person in charge of financial affairs at the Culture Centre of Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan, Ahmad Ahmadzadeh returned to the Iranian capital of Tehran by request of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry due to the expiration of his visa, the head of press service of the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan, Mohammad Ayatollahi told journalists on Nov. 25.
He made the remarks commenting on Ahmadzadeh's deportation from Azerbaijan.
According to him, Ahmad Ahmadzadeh was detained on Nov. 19 by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan due to the expiration of his visa.
Following this, Ahmadzadeh was released after an hour after talks carried out with Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry and efforts of the Iranian embassy.
A note has been sent to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry with regard to the State Migration Service's intervention and the issue is being investigated.
