PM: Turkey always supported Iranian nuclear programme

Turkey has always supported Tehran's nuclear programme, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, TRT Haber TV channel reported on Nov.26.

According to the prime minister, the agreement reached on Tehran's nuclear programme is the first step towards the holding of negotiations and gives a significant impetus to achieving success in the future.

Erdogan also stressed that Ankara has always proposed holding negotiations and didn't impose sanctions against Iran.

Iran and six world powers reached a breakthrough in negotiations on Tehran's nuclear programme on Nov.24. The two sides signed a joint action plan in Geneva which envisages a certain easing of sanctions against Iran.
