Victor Yanukovych, who declared his legitimacy as the Ukraine's president, said he did not meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin upon his arrival to Russia, but they had a phone conversation and agreed to meet when Russian leader has an opportunity for this, RIA Novosti reported on Feb. 28.
"I have not met with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. I had a phone conversation with him after entering Russia's territory. We agreed that Russian president and I will meet when he has such an opportunity," Yanukovych said at a press conference.
