President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of Malaysia's newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Dato' Roslan Bin Tan Sri Abdul Rahman.

Dato' Roslan Bin Tan Sri Abdul Rahman reviewed the guard of honor and handed his credentials to President Aliyev.

The ambassador extended the greetings on behalf of the 14th supreme lord and prime minister of Malaysia to President Aliyev.

The parties noted the importance of mutual interest in expanding Azerbaijani-Malaysian relations, and said there were good opportunities for the development of bilateral ties in various areas. The sides emphasized the significance of successful cooperation in the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The issues related to the development of the bilateral ties in the economic, energy and other fields were discussed during the conversation.

President Aliyev thanked the diplomat for the greetings of the 14th supreme lord and prime minister of Malaysia and asked the ambassador to communicate his greetings to the president and prime minister.
