Summit of heads of CIS countries will be held in Minsk October 10, said the Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev Sept.26, opening the second meeting of the secretaries of the Security Council of the CIS in Moscow, RIA Novosti reported.
"Issues of international cooperation, in particular of the CIS states in the field of security will be discussed at the CIS summit in Minsk," Patrushev said.
The summit will cover issues that will be discussed at today's meeting, in particular the emergence of new threats, including threats from the radical militants of "the Islamic state".
The first meeting of the Security Council was held December 2013. It focused on the issues related to the security threat to the international community by militants in North Africa, particularly in Libya.
