Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov visited Navy ships, which were overhauled and equipped with more powerful engines, the press service of the Defense Ministry said Oct.23.
The captain of the first rank, acting Navy Commander Shahin Mammadov met the minister and reported on the readiness of ships.
Hasanov was informed on the tactical and technical characteristics, armament of ships, means to fight the enemy and command posts.
Then the ships put out to sea. The liberation of a ship personnel seized by conditional terrorists was carried out by Special Forces, according to the task.
The Minister welcomed the general condition of the ships and the actions of personnel. He said that all these successes have been achieved thanks to the attention and care of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.
Minister gave instructions and tasks to improve the battle readiness of the Navy and to enhance the social conditions of personnel.
