Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, Pascal Monnier on Jan.21, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told Trend.
Talking about the military political situation in the region, the minister said that Armenia continues its aggressive policy against Azerbaijan and this protracts the peace processes and negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and negatively affects the situation in the region.
The ambassador expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for development of relations between Azerbaijan and France in defense sphere and exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.
