The private meeting of the head of the British Foreign Office's Department for the South Caucasus Emma Baines with political organizations in Azerbaijan is suspicious, deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) MP Siyavush Novruzov told Trend May 2.
He said that it would be more appropriate to hold a public meeting. The meeting should be held with all political parties operating in the country, said the MP.
Holding meetings with some parties or NGOs without the participation of the other ones undoubtedly causes suspicions, Novruzov said.
Emma Baines met with the leaders of Musavat party, Azerbaijan Popular Front Party and the REAL Movement.
