President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev October 24.
President Grabar-Kitarovic also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
President Grabar-Kitarovic also visited the Alley of Martyrs.
A guard of honor was lined up for the Croatian president there.
President Grabar-Kitarovic paid tribute to Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.
The Croatian president laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
A military orchestra played the national anthems of Croatia and Azerbaijan.
