Jewish community is a very active part of Azerbaijani society and they contribute a lot to the development of the country, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the one on one meeting with the visiting Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
"It is a very important factor in our bilateral relations," Ilham Aliyev told Netanyahu.
Benjamin Netanyahu, in turn said he was glad to be in Azerbaijan the second time, adding that Israel and Azerbaijan have excellent relationship and also friendship between the people of Azerbaijan and the Jewish people.
Netanyahu noted that the Jewish people feel very comfortable in Azerbaijan, adding that some 70,000 people from Azerbaijan, Jews, are living in Israel.
"We have a lot to talk about, including energy of course," he told President Ilham Aliyev.
"I look forward to discussing with you how we can increase prosperity between our people and cooperation between our governments," he told Ilham Aliyev.
