Israel attaches special importance to military co-op with Azerbaijan (PHOTO)

During the official visit to Israel, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel-General Najmeddin Sadikhov met with his Israeli counterpart, Lieutenant-General Gadi Eisenkot in Tel Aviv on Oct. 24, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said in a statement.
First, the official welcoming ceremony took place. The chiefs of general staffs passed before the guard of honor, after which the anthems of the two states were performed. According to the protocol, an entry was made in the "Book of Honor".
Having greeted the guests, Lieutenant-General Gadi Eisenkot stressed that Israel attaches particular importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas, particularly in the military sphere, adding that there are ample opportunities for the further development of military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
Colonel-General Sadikhov noted the importance of such meetings and mutual visits for strengthening the Azerbaijani-Israeli military ties.
During the meeting, the importance of strengthening military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel, as well as the contribution of the two states to regional security was especially emphasized.
