Turkish, Azerbaijani high-ranked officials discuss dev't of bilateral military co-op (PHOTO)

The Head of Turkey’s National Defense Ministry, Hulusi Akar, received the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Lieutenant General Karim Valiyev, on September 13, Trend reports citing the ministry.

Chief of Turkish Armed Forces General Staff, Yashar Guler also took part in the meeting.

Congratulating Valiyev on his appointment to the post of Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Akar stressed that Turkey, guided by the idea of ‘One nation, two states, will always support Azerbaijan in its just struggle.

The sides discussed the development of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational, engineering and other fields, and also stressed the successful development of cooperation between the armies of the two countries, based on friendly and fraternal relations.
