"Cold hands, warm heart" charity fair in Azerbaijan officially opens

The official opening of the "Cold hands, warm heart" charity fair, organized by the Nargis Fund, took place on Fountain Square on December 13, Trend reports.

It is noted that the opening ceremony of the fair, which coincided with the 9th anniversary of the Fund and the Nargis magazine, began with an entertaining musical parade.

First, the management of the Nargis Fund and the guests got acquainted with small trading houses installed on the territory of the fair.

Then the event continued with a show program. The charity fair, consisting of 71 houses and two restaurants, will be open daily from 11:00 to 23:00 (local time) and will run until January 15, 2022. As every year, financial support from sponsors and all funds raised from the rental of houses installed at the fair will be spent on the treatment and operations of children suffering from various diseases.

Guests of the charity fair will be able to buy exclusive souvenirs, gifts, taste unusual, delicious dishes, warm up with hot drinks on cold winter days, as well as play games with their loved ones, and feel the magic of the New Year holiday together. It is noted that the official partners of the event are the Baku City Executive Power, Azerishig OJSC, Baku Improvement Service, Azerbaijan State Advertising Agency, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, Mediline Group Assistance, Pasha Holding security service. The charity fair is held with the support of sponsoring companies PASHA Holding, Azercell, Coca-Cola, Boutique One, XırtaXırt, AzPromo, Made in Azerbaijan, ASCO, Muganbank, Kalinka, Shokki Mokki, Azərçay and Super Sun.

Nargis Fund was established in 2012 by the editor-in-chief of the Nargis magazine Ulviyya Mahmudova. Since 2013, the Fund has been annually holding a winter charity fair "Cold hands, warm heart" on the Fountain Square. Children living in different districts of Azerbaijan and struggling with serious illnesses have regained health at the expense of funds raised through the "Cold hands, warm heart" fair. The financial report and detailed information on the results of each fair are published on the official website of the fund and on social networks. In 2020, both the spring and winter charity fairs were postponed due to a special quarantine regime related to COVID-19.

Despite all the difficulties and obstacles, the Nargis Fund continued to help the registered families, during this time more than 50 children with the financial support of benefactors and personally the management of the Fund were sent for treatment and surgeries. Compliance with the rules of the quarantine regime is strictly controlled by the participants of the fair, as well as directly by the management of the Fund.
