BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of General Staff of Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev checked the combat readiness of military units stationed in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar region, Azerbaijani MoD told Trend.
According to the ministry, chief of the General Staff got acquainted with organization of service of the troops and combat duty, also the social and living conditions of servicemen.
It was noted that thanks to the attention and care of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Azerbaijani Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, all the necessary conditions have been created to ensure a high level of combat readiness of the troops.
Valiyev met with the personnel on combat duty in Kalbajar region of the state border, inquired about their needs, awarded the servicemen who distinguished themselves in service, and wished them further success.
Then the chief of General Staff held an official meeting with the command staff of the military unit. Valiyev informed the participants of the meeting about the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the Azerbaijani Army.
