BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. Having become the first country to regain sovereignty in the CIS space, Azerbaijan is a victorious state of the 21st century, Head of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan Ilgar Musayev said, Trend reports.
He spoke at the event "Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023" in Baku.
"The countries that cannot accept this fact, among other spheres, are trying to create certain problems for Azerbaijan in the field of information security," he said.
According to him, holding such large-scale events can be regarded as the beginning of new major projects.
"For us, it brings new challenges and responsibilities. In recent years, new realities have materialized the issue of control over the security of important information infrastructures against the backdrop of events in Azerbaijan and around the world. Furthermore, recent work in this area, legislative normative acts enacted, and virtual schools are evident examples of this. In this regard, the Cyber Warfare competitions held in Azerbaijan for the first time to build skills in protecting key information systems from cyber attacks and managing information systems in crisis situations are particularly important" Musayev added.
Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023 (Cidc-2023) is being held today at the Baku Congress Center jointly organized by the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security and the State Security Service of Azerbaijan.
