BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17. The regular meeting of the board of the New Azerbaijan Party was held, Trend reports.
According to the information, the Deputy Chairman of the Party and Head of the Central Office, Tahir Budagov, informed about the agenda of the meeting.
Tahir Budagov noted that Azerbaijan has successfully completed the period of the history of modern statehood rich in important achievements and has stepped into a new era.
“Under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as a result of our outstanding victory in the 44-day II Karabakh War in 2020 and one-day localized anti-terrorist measures in 2023, the full restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty, constitutional order, and raising of the Azerbaijani flag in all territories liberated from occupation has been ensured. Thanks to the farsighted policy of the President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev, aimed at socio-economic progress, growth of military power and defense capacity of our country, strengthening of its positions in the international arena, ensuring national and regional security, new realities have emerged both inside the country and in the region as a whole, and new prospects have opened before our country," he said.
The New Azerbaijan Party Deputy Chairman emphasized that in the victorious elections held in February 2024, the absolute majority of the people once again demonstrated their deep faith in the policy pursued by supporting the Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, President Ilham Aliyev.
“Nowadays, Azerbaijan is on the threshold of another important socio-political process. The election to the Azerbaijani Parliament will be held throughout the country on September 1, 2024, for the first time in the history of our independence. The New Azerbaijan Party, which plays a leading role in the political system of the country, participates in this election with goals arising from the realities that emerged after our grandiose national victory under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev," Budagov noted.
Then the list of persons nominated by the New Azerbaijan Party in connection with the extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament, scheduled for September 1, 2024, was announced and approved after discussion.
Deputy Chairman of New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov, members of the party's board Hikmet Mammadov, Tahir Mirkishili, Bahar Muradova, Anar Iskandarov, Elmar Gasimov, Eldar Ibrahimov, Azer Badamov, and Kamal Jafarov, addressing the meeting, noted that the Azerbaijani Parliament, the supreme legislative body of the party, is also entrusted with great responsibilities for the realization of strategically important objectives facing Azerbaijan in the most important period of the modern history of statehood. It was emphasized that representation in the parliament is honorable and, at the same time, responsible. Deep gratitude was expressed for the high trust given to the President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, Ilham Aliyev.
Subsequently, the issue of members of election commissions with the right of deliberative vote and persons who will observe on the day of voting in the constituencies and polling stations was considered, and the lists were approved.
In conclusion of the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Party and Head of the Central Office, Tahir Budagov, wished success to the candidates and expressed confidence that they would do their best to justify the high trust given to them by the Head of State, Chairman of the “New Azerbaijan" Party, Ilham Aliyev, and would do their best to fulfill the tasks set for them.
Tahir Budagov emphasized that the New Azerbaijan Party has so far played an exceptional role in the very important historical achievements of Azerbaijan and will continue to contribute to the implementation of the strategic course for the progress of our country - the purposeful and far-sighted policy of President Ilham Aliyev.
