SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, July 22. Illegal nuclear tests have been conducted in French Polynesia for 30 years, said International Advisor on Governance Carlyle Corbin at a side event of the Baku Initiative Group during the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum, Trend reports.
He emphasized that these tests have had a severely negative impact on the environment and the health of local people.
"Although the French authorities are obligated to compensate for the damage, they categorically refuse to do so," he added.
To note, the II Shusha Global Media Forum was attended by 150 foreign guests from 49 countries, including state news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organizations, and media structures, as well as 60 heads and representatives of local media.
