BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. Another project by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, within its activities aimed at the development of preschool educational institutions, was implemented on September 17 in Azerbaijan's Garadagh district, Trend reports.
Kindergarten No. 286 in the above district was a brainchild of the 1980s. After being put through the wringer for too long, the building's load-bearing structures started to crumble and turned into a ticking time bomb of safety hazards.
Luckily, the rescue hand came from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which rolled up its sleeves and got to work, breathing new life into the place.
Now, a shiny new kindergarten building with 120 seats is ready to welcome little ones with open arms. The facility boasts cozy sleeping and playrooms for the little ones, a bustling assembly hall, a kitchen that’s the heart of the operation, a medical room for when the chips are down, and a mix of administrative and technical areas to keep everything running like a well-oiled machine. The kindergarten is decked out and has all the bells and whistles it needs. The surrounding area has been spruced up, with shiny new playgrounds and pavilions popping up for the kids' groups to enjoy.
The opening ceremony of the kindergarten featured representatives of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education, the Baku City Education Department, educators, and parents.
Head of the Preschool Education Department at the State Agency for Preschool and General Education Ilaha Rasulova wished the kindergarten staff success.
She drove home the point that the government has its finger on the pulse of the education sector, highlighting that educational infrastructure has seen a facelift, with shiny new kindergartens popping up and old ones getting a much-needed makeover.
The two one-story buildings are all set to go, stocked to the gills with the furniture and resources needed to hit the ground running.
Tahira Gahramanova, a long-time teacher at Kindergarten No. 286 since 1985, is over the moon about the state’s backing in sprucing up the kindergarten’s conditions following the renovation.
"We will go the extra mile to nurture children with a heart full of patriotism, molding them into citizens who are worth their weight in gold to society," she said.
