BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. The third meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in the Kazakh city of Turkistan on September 18-19, Trend reports via Organization of Turkic States.
According to information, the meeting was attended by Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gizat Nurdauletov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov, Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov and a delegation headed by Deputy Secretary General of the OTS Omer Kocaman.
In the course of the meeting, the sides reviewed the current security environment and developments in the OTS region and the world. They discussed the current security threats and challenges targeting the OTS countries, as well as the possible impact of some regional and global developments and trends on the Turkic region.
The parties paid special attention in their discussions of transport security and the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the Middle Corridor.
Furthermore, the meeting also discussed in detail the strengthening of mechanisms within the OTS to build on the existing security cooperation with concrete projects and programs.
